In a relatively unsurprising move, the Rangers have sent forward Phil Di Giuseppe and goalie Igor Shesterkin to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL. Di Giuseppe, recalled last week, never got in a game for the Rangers. Shesterkin played in three games, going 2-1-0 with a 2.68 GAA and a .929 SV% while playing very poised in net.
The move is not surprising, as the Rangers now have ten games off and there’s no reason to keep them in the NHL. The Pack play twice before the Rangers play again next Friday. There is a chance both stay with the Pack, as they also play next Friday.
