With their second fourth round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, the Rangers selected LW Kalle Vaisanen from TPS out of Finland. Vaisanen put up 9-21-30 with TPS’ U20 team in Finland last season, a solid year for him.
There’s not much on this kid, but he did play out of the same team that Kaapo Kakko came from. Liiga usually produces some solid NHLers as well. He’s 6’4, so he’s a big kid but he’s also a pretty smooth skater. That’s relatively normal for Finns, as is his hockey sense, which is solid.
