Gorton Adds Veteran Defenseman
On Tuesday, the Rangers traded defenseman Steven Kampfer, along with two draft picks, to the Boston Bruins in exchange for Adam McQuaid.

This is a low-risk move by Gorton. McQuaid brings a hard-nosed style of play to the Rangers blue line, something which they haven’t had on the back end in a couple of years.
