The New York Rangers have some time off and hope to get in sync before playing the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday.
It was a wild week filled with injuries, a suspension, cap contortions, playing shorthanded, and the trade for Patrick Kane. Unfortunately, in his two games with the Blueshirts the team is not only winless but looks disjointed.
Gerard Gallant will look to get some cohesion with his team over the next few days and they should be allotted this time before anyone hits a panic button.
Patrick Kane trade
On February 28, the Rangers acquired Kane and Cooper Zech from Chicago in exchange for Andy Welinski, a conditional 2023 second-round pick and a 2025 fourth-round pick.
