The news starting to leak out of the NHL executive offices seem to indicate the hopes for starting next season in December fading. Deputy Commissioner in a recent interview with Pierre Lebrun admitted as much.

Bill Daly also said in the interview that they are still looking to complete an 82 game schedule. The NHL also has no appetite to start the season in a bubble, contrary to some rumors that came out a few weeks ago.
