A bit of surprise, as the Rangers have recalled center Ryan Carpenter.
This is a surprise since the Rangers just waived Jake Leschyshyn to make way for Patrick Kane. Carpenter’s recall seemingly removes that wiggle room and postpones Kane’s acquisition by a day at least.
This likely means Ryan Lindgren is a no go for today against the Kings.
