The Rangers have recalled forward Marek Hrivik for tonight’s game against Detroit. Hrivik, 24, has been with the Rangers organization since signing as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2012-2013 season. The winger has impressed in some camps, but never made the cut on a team that preferred to sign a veteran over giving a kid who might fail a chance. This is a refreshing move for the Rangers.
Daniel Paile, who was waived yesterday, cleared waivers and was sent to Hartford.
