New York Rangers General Manager Jeff Gorton announced today that the team has recalled goaltender Magnus Hellberg and defenseman Chris Summers from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL). The team has also assigned defenseman Brady Skjei to Hartford.
Hellberg, 24, has appeared in 18 games with the Wolf Pack this season, posting an 8-8-2 record, along with a 2.62 GAA, a .908 SV%, and 1 SO. He has allowed two goals or fewer in nine of his 18 AHL appearances this season, including eight of his 17 starts.
