It looks like New York Rangers prospect Adam Sykora is staying put in Slovakia for the remainder of this season.
Back in December, a report by Sportsnet’s Jeff Marek indicated there was a possibility that Sykora may stick around after the World Junior Championships ended in January.
According Marek, he stated the Rangers were looking to bring Sykora over to North America after the conclusion of the tournament. A trade was in the works that would send him the Medicine Hat Tigers to a higher ranked WHL team, Saskatoon Blades.
Sykora was taken by New York with their first pick of the 2022 draft in the second-round.
