Following last night’s 3-2 overtime loss against the New York Islanders, the Rangers have made a significant amount of roster cuts, and reduced their roster to 29 players. As per an official team release, the Rangers have assigned Mat Bodie, John Gilmour, Ryan Graves, Marek Hrivik, Nicklas Jensen, Robin Kovacs, Mackenzie Skapski, Malte Stromwall, and Chris Summers to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
In addition, Maxim Lapierre was also released from his professional tryout agreement and will no longer be apart of the organization. Among all of the players cut, Nicklas Jensen and Marek Hrivik will require waivers before being sent down, which gives the 29 other teams a chance at claiming them.
