Rangers' Kevin Shattenkirk out 2-4 weeks with separated left shoulder

Defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk has a separated left shoulder and will miss two to four weeks, the Rangers announced on Wednesday.

Shattenkirk was injured on Monday in Tampa Bay on a hit into the boards by former Ranger J.T. Miller.

Adam McQuaid, out since late October with a lower body injury, appears ready to return. Brendan Smith, who’d been scratched the past two games, is another option when the Rangers host Arizona on Friday.
