Defenseman Kevin Klein, who had an MRI last week to determine whether there was something more than back spasms that is keeping him sidelined, will not make the three-game trip to Florida and Raleigh, coach Alain Vigneault said Saturday.
Although the MRI was clear, Vigneault said, Klein hasn’t skated in 10 days, so he will stay behind.
Michael Grabner, the team’s leading goal-scorer with 26, apparently will make the trip, which begins tomorrow in Tampa Bay. He did not practice Saturday and missed his second game with hip soreness after a check in practice from Adam Clendening on Wednesday.
