Per Mollie Walker, the Rangers and restricted free agent K’Andre Miller have agreed on a two year contract extension $3.872 million per year range. While the hope from many had been a bit of a longer extension, the Rangers don’t have the cap space to make that work. This is right in line with Evolving-Hockey’s projections, albeit for four fewer years.
#NYR make it official: K’Andre Miller signs a two-year deal with an AAV of $3.872M, per source.

This kind of short term contract is something the Rangers couldn’t avoid, and more or less backed themselves into a corner with, given some of the other contracts both Jeff Gorton and Chris Drury handed out.
