The first of the Rangers returnees from the World Cup of Hockey will dress in a pre-season game on Saturday.
J.T. Miller, who played just three games in September for Team North America and admitted on Wednesday that he wasn’t as game-ready as he’d like to be, will skate against the Devils in Newark in the third game for the Blueshirts.
“I went up (to Toronto for the tournament) and felt good,” Miller said, “but being the extra guy, not getting into three or four games, I’m trying to get back into it now.”
Miller, who scored a career high 22 goals last season, might replace rookie Pavel Buchnevich on a line with Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider for the game, although lines were not announced by the team Friday afternoon.
