Rangers is the most expensive hockey ticket ever seen

Rangers fans have been on a wild ride this postseason. And if they want to be there for Wednesday’s Game 7, it’ll be an expensive ride.

The price of tickets for the climactic Game 7 against the Washington Capitals have reached record levels on the secondary market.

You want into the Garden? The average price peaked an all-time high of $824 on Tuesday night, a record for a non-Stanley Cup game, according to ticket marketplace aggregator SeatGeek. The Garden holds 17,200 for hockey.

“It’s far and away the most expensive NHL game we’ve seen. Barring the finals, it’s the hottest tickets we’ve ever seen in the major four sports,’’ SeatGeek analyst Connor Gregoire told CNBC.
