Most players have a tendency to downplay a major opportunity.
Not so much with Brandon Pirri.
The Rangers forward has been given a chance to get more even-strength ice time as he was finally moved off the fourth line to a spot at center between Jimmy Vesey and J.T. Miller. He was set to get his second straight game starting there on Wednesday night at the Garden, the second leg of a home-and-home with defending champion Penguins that began with a comeback 5-2 win in Pittsburgh on Monday.
So when asked if it did feel like an opportunity, Pirri was quick to answer.
