Rangers Hit The Jackpot, Shut Out Golden Knights 5-0

After a tough late-game loss at home against the Canadiens, the Rangers came out west and put on a show, as they shut out the Vegas Golden Knights 5-0 behind a 38 save performance from Alexandar Georgiev.

Slow and steady wins the race: Right out of the gate, the Golden Knights were electric and all over the Rangers, but Alexandar Georgiev weathered the storm. Then, in the middle of this Golden Knights attack, Tony DeAngelo found a trailing and open Artemi Panarin, who buried the puck five-hole against Malcolm Subban at 11:03 in the first. Fourteen seconds later, Chris Kreider banks home a beauty of a pass to make it 2-0.
