Over the last 24 hours there have been several reports that Ottawa superstar, Erik Karlsson is a target for the Rangers. The Ottawa Sun even wrote that the Rangers, because of all their 1st round picks and cap space are a perfect suitor. However, giving up a bunch of picks and prospects for Karlsson flies in the face of the rebuild narrative.
Going After Karlsson
I’m not saying Karlsson to the #NYR isn’t possible but it flies in the face of the rebuild narrative big time. The cost in assets alone is astronomical (possible Andersson or Chytil).
