Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin could play back-to-back games this weekend

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Rangers coach Gerard Gallant would not reveal at the morning skate who his starting goaltender would be for Saturday’s game against the Blue Jackets. But Gallant did say that, unlike the two previous instances where the team had played games on consecutive nights, he was not committed to splitting the games between his two goalies, Igor Shesterkin and Alexandar Georgiev.

So with Shesterkin getting the start Saturday, it leaves open the possibility he could start again Sunday when the Rangers return home to Madison Square Garden to host the Devils.
