Adam McQuaid had been around just long enough to start feeling comfortable when his introduction to the Rangers was stopped in its tracks.
The veteran defenseman, who came over from the Bruins in a trade days before training camp opened, was playing his eighth game for the Blueshirts when he suffered a lower-body injury Oct. 25 in Chicago. “Day-to-day” soon turned into “week-to-week” and 21 straight games that the 32-year old has missed.
Finally, though, McQuaid is ready to return to the lineup against the Golden Knights for Sunday’s matinee at the Garden.
“I hope to just be solid, hopefully,” McQuaid said Saturday after a short practice.
