Rangers get goalie’d by Hellebuyck in 4-1 loss

Some nights, you just get goalie’d. The New York Rangers put on a dominant performance on Madison Square Garden ice where they piled up 51 shots but would only beat Vezina candidate Connor Hellebuyck one time. The loss is disappointing for sure, especially with the standings so tight and points hard to come by, but the New York Rangers didn’t play poorly in this one. They were just a bit unlucky.

The Jets only had 21 shots for the entire game but four of them would beat Igor Shesterkin. The goals started just 5:12 into the game when Pierre-Luc Dubois struck for the Jets.
