Rangers’ fourth line impresses despite limited action

There wasn’t a lot of time to impress, but the Rangers’ fourth line did it anyway.

The combination of Pavel Buchnevich, Oscar Lindberg and Jesper Fast made a solid contribution in limited ice time during the Blueshirts’ 3-2 shootout loss to the Canadiens on Tuesday night at the Garden.

As Lindberg got a game-low 7:41 of ice time, he managed to score his third goal of the season on a great feed from Fast to tie the game, 1-1, at 10:03 of the first period. The play had started with Lindberg breaking out of his own zone and finding a streaking Fast up the right wing.
