It wasn’t quite as hard to swallow as the 2014 Stanley Cup final. But once again, the Kings managed to inflict some pain on the Rangers.
After holding a one-goal lead with under a minute to play in regulation, the Rangers ended up losing 4-3 in overtime to the Kings on Monday night at the Garden.
The game-winner came just 25 seconds into the three-on-three extra period. Right after Mika Zibanejad hit the post, the Kings went the other way for a two-on-one and Tyler Toffoli beat Henrik Lundqvist to give his team the win.
