The nightmare continues.
The Rangers’ gruesome western road trip ended with another desultory defeat, this one by a score of 4-2 against the Golden Knights in Las Vegas on Tuesday night.
This was the Rangers’ (17-18-7) fourth straight regulation loss, which have come by a combined score of 22-5 — the worst such run since the start of former coach Alain Vigneault’s first year behind the bench in 2013-14.
Now under the stewardship of David Quinn, the club is in its first utter free fall. The Rangers matched mostly lifeless legs with some foolish decisions to make a perfect equation for the Golden Knights (27-15-4) to win their seventh straight.
