When it was suggested to Rangers coach David Quinn at the morning skate Thursday that his team, 10 points out of a playoff spot at the beginning of the day, was at a crucial point in the season, the first-year coach agreed.
“The stretch between Christmas and everybody’s break really makes or breaks your season in a lot of ways,’’ Quinn said. “And we’ve obviously put ourselves in a difficult position in the last week, where now, it’s really make-or-break for us in the next two to next 10 days. These are pivotal games. The deeper you get into the season, every game takes on a different level of importance, and this is a critical game for sure.
