One of these days, the streak was going to end and the Rangers were undoubtedly going to lose, but no fan enjoys a loss where it seems like the team was not all together. That is what happened at the Wells Fargo Center this afternoon.
The Rangers, fresh off winning an exciting game at MSG against the Islanders, loafed into Philadelphia and dropped a goose egg, getting shut out by the Flyers, 4-0. The only bright spot for New York was goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, who stopped 42 shots to keep the blueshirts within reach. Unfortunately, defensive lapses, turnovers and missed chances bit the Rangers in the back, as Philly capitalized on these mistakes.
