Rangers end road trip with loss to Canucks

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — This has been a long week, and the Rangers wanted to end it on a good note.

Despite their best intentions, they came up short.

With Tyler Myers getting a long, seeing-eye shot to sneak by Alexandar Georgiev with 1:29 left in regulation, the Rangers dropped a 2-1 game to the Canucks on Saturday night.

The Rangers (19-18-4) have had trouble defending since they came out of the Christmas break, despite winning the first two games out of the three-day pause — including the first game of this trip, a 5-4 overtime victory in Toronto last Saturday.
