Rangers drop Game 3 to Penguins, who take 2-1 series lead

Creating very little offense against a rookie goaltender, the Rangers dropped Game 3 to the Penguins, 3-1, Tuesday night, and fell behind in the best-of-seven series two games to one.

With the score tied 1-1 going into the third period, Dan Boyle and Keith Yandle got tangled in the neutral zone and Matt Cullen skated in alone and beat Henrik Lundqvist low through his legs at 4:16. Kris Letang scored an empty-net goal with 12.1 seconds left to seal it. The Rangers have lost four straight playoff games at home. Game 4 is at the Garden on Thursday.
