It was another perplexing game for the New York Rangers. The were playing a team having a tough season and despite playing well, they could never cash in with a timely goal. When they finally scored it was way too late and the Kings sealed the win with an empty net tally.
The lack of a shooting mentality was the theme after the game, but it was simply a case of Jonathan Quick coming up big when he needed to and the Rangers unable to score when they needed to. The Blueshirts played well in the first period, more defensively responsible than in Vegas, but they didn’t have a lot of great scoring opportunities.
