The Rangers have claimed winger Adam Cracknell off waivers from Dallas. The 32-year-old journeyman will be joining his fourth team in three years. At 6’2″ and 218 lbs, this is a size over skill acquisition, but that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily a bad move. Cracknell is a capable fourth line player, and could mean the end of the Andrew Desjardins speculation.
Of course, it could mean the end of the Filip Chytil experiment for this year. With the Rangers lacking forward depth, there’s nothing wrong with taking a flier on a guy like this.
