The Rangers (8-2-2 overall, 5-0-2 in the last seven) begin a two-night trip out West, a pair of 9 p.m. (Eastern) games in Denver and Glendale, Ariz. Colorado is 4-8-1 after a 4-2 loss in the desert Thursday. The Rangers went to Colorado Wednesday, which should help them be acclimated to the altitude in the Mile High City, which is even higher these days. They are 22-6-5 against the West since the start of last season, 4-1 so far this season.
