Following last night’s miserable 4-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks, the New York Rangers have apparently begun the process of shaking things up. The Rangers announced this afternoon that they have assigned Tony DeAngelo to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
Over the last two games, DeAngelo has played pretty sparingly at even strength and was relegated to strictly a power play specialist. He played 5:20 against the Nashville Predators and eclipsed 12 minutes last night against the Sharks, but half of that time was accumulated on the power play.
