Head coach Gerard Gallant said that forward Chris Kreider will be out for Thursday’s contest versus the Dallas Stars with an upper-body injury. The good news is that it isn’t considered to be a serious issue.
“Positive for me,” Gallant said of Kreider’s injury. “It’s not going to be longterm, it’s a short term thing.”
Kreider left Tuesday’s shootout win over the Minnesota Wild in the third period after a shoulder-to-shoulder by Marcus Foligno. The Rangers leading goal scorer, who is tied with Mika Zibanejad at 19, was seen favoring his left arm when he went to the locker room.
