Adam Fox said he didn’t mind getting booed every time he touched the puck Saturday night in Calgary in the Rangers’ 6-0 loss to the Flames. Actually, the Norris Trophy-winning defenseman said he kind of liked it.
"They’ve got some passionate fans and you could tell,’’ Fox said with a smile at Monday’s morning skate before the Rangers hosted the Florida Panthers at Madison Square Garden. "I think that's a great part of sports, is when the fans are into it like that. And It made for fun atmosphere. It was cool for me.’’
Fox, the Jericho native, was chosen by the Flames in the third round of the 2016 draft, but was traded to Carolina in 2018 in a megadeal that sent Dougie Hamilton and Michael Ferland to Carolina and sent Elias Lindholm and Noah Hanifan to Calgary.
