BOSTON – David Quinn, coaching a hockey game in Boston for the first time since he left Boston University to take the Rangers job, really didn’t seem like a guy who wanted to talk much about his return to Boston. So what did he do? He neatly reminded everyone that defenseman Adam McQuaid was also making his first trip to Boston in a Blueshirt. McQuaid was traded to the Rangers by the Bruins on the eve of training camp back in September.
“To me, this is much more about Adam McQuaid coming home after winning a Stanley Cup here and spending all the time he spent here,’’ Quinn said in his pregame media briefing.
