26 year-old defenseman Mat Bodie is preparing for his third professional season after agreeing to terms on a new contract with the Rangers earlier this week. A year ago he tied for the Hartford Wolf Pack team lead in assists with 29 and led all Hartford defenseman in points with 36. After two seasons playing for the Rangers AHL affiliate, Bodie has scored 12 goals, added 56 assists and totaled 68 points in 151 games, while also becoming a top-pair defenseman.
