Earlier this afternoon, the New York Riveters played their first preseason game against the FDNY. While they ended up losing 6-2, they brought their best and hung with a tough FDNY team. Their two goals were scored by Janine Weber and Brooke Ammerman. The Riveters' next preseason game will be against the Minnesota Whitecaps of the Western Women's Hockey League, and will take place on Sunday, October 4 at 11:30am, at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan.
