New York Rangers forward Pavel Buchnevich will miss four to six weeks with a broken thumb.
The 23-year-old was injured Saturday at Columbus.
Buchnevich has nine points in 14 games after posting 43 last season.
The Rangers are hosting the Canucks Monday.
