The New York Rangers went out and filled an important need for their Stanley Cup hopes by acquiring Vladimir Tarasenko on Thursday. That news left Patrick Kane feeling a little disappointed.
“It’s not like the happiest I’ve been to hear about a trade,” Kane said Friday via Mark Lazerus. “If things are going to happen, that was a team I was definitely looking at. It seems like they kind of filled their void and went ahead and made a deal.”
Kane, 34, is still contemplating if he’ll waive his no-move clause for the NHL Trade Deadline set for March 3.
