Earlier this morning, we noted that Jaques Martin was under consideration for the assistant coach job vacated by Lindy Ruff. The New York Rangers have now made it official by adding him to David Quinn’s staff.
Martin is expected to take over the reigns for the Rangers defense. Gord Murphy who was promoted from Hartford after Ruff’s departure will rejoin Kris Knoblauch’s staff.
