The NY Rangers made a pair of minor league trades after the trade deadline had passed. First, they acquired defenseman Wyatt Kalynuk from Vancouver in exchange for future considerations. Second, the Rangers traded Gustav Rydahl to Colorado in exchange for forward Anton Blidh.
Rydahl, per Ricky Milliner, struggled a lot in Hartford and was in and out of the lineup. Blidh likely represents an upgrade in Hartford’s depth, adding a bit of sandpaper to a lineup in need of it. Blidh has just 84 NHL games in his career, and is likely not what you’d consider “Black Ace” material.
