As expected, the NY Rangers have recalled Will Cuylle from the AHL’ Hartford Wolf Pack.
This move was expected since Thursday, when the Rangers pulled Cuylle from the AHL All Star Game. Cuylle was also a scratch for Hartford’s game last night.
Remember, the Rangers had Cuylle and Sammy Blais on the roster during Cuylle’s first stint. Blais’ conditioning stint did not remove him from the Rangers roster or cap hit. With the recall, the Rangers are at 14 forwards and 23 skaters. Another move may be coming, but they don’t need one yet.
