The Rangers are in Edmonton to close out the 2019 calendar year against the Oilers. Edmonton has had an odd season, starting off hot but slipping fast, and are 2-7-1 in their last ten games. The Oilers can still score, but they allow a ton too. On paper, this is going to be a track meet. Then again, when has anything ever gone the way we expected it?
The fun story for this game is that it’s Ryan Strome’s first time back in Edmonton (I think) since the Rangers swapped Ryan Spooner for him.
