The Rangers are back in action against a Buffalo Sabres team that is just flat out bad. And now they are worse because Jack Eichel is most likely done for the year. This bodes well for the Rangers, who need two points to pretend that they are still relevant in the playoff race.
The Rangers will be without Brett Howden, which helps them out even more. Julien Gauthier will get back into the lineup, presumably on the fourth line with Kevin Rooney shifting to center. There’s not much else to evaluate here.
