GREENBURGH – Ready or not, the Rangers will go into the bees’ nest Wednesday, only this time it’s a brand new hive.
Once in their history, the Rangers have played a regular-season game against the Islanders anywhere other than Nassau Coliseum or the Garden – the Stadium Series game at Yankee Stadium two winters ago.
Wednesday the Rangers play their first-ever game in Brooklyn, and as always, it will be Game 7 for the Islanders.
“For me, this game comes at a right time,” Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said after an optional practice Tuesday.
