BUFFALO — Nick Bobrov made an interesting word choice, but “mosaic” was perfectly descriptive.
As Bobrov, the Rangers’ director of European scouting, watched the large group of teenagers go through numerous physical tests at the NHL Scouting Combine over the weekend, he put into perspective how weeks like this help build a draft board, then a farm system and eventually a franchise.
“We take this week as a week to get to know the kids better, to get to know their backgrounds, their families, how they react in different situations in the interview, with 15 people sitting there, staring at you, poking at your life with different questions,” Bobrov told The Post.
