PHILADELPHIA — This will make for interesting reading for Ottawa head coach Guy Boucher and his staff, who will bring the Senators into the Garden off Sunday to face the Rangers.
Matt Puempel, the 23-year-old winger claimed on waivers from Ottawa on Monday, offered a choice evaluation of his life as a Senator after scoring in his first game wearing the Blueshirt on Friday.
“They let you play here, they let you play to your strengths,” Puempel said after the Rangers’ 3-2 victory over the Flyers in which he beat Steve Mason from close in off a gorgeous backhand feed from Jimmy Vesey at 14:50 of the first period.
