WINNIPEG, Manitoba — If it looked as if Nicklas Jensen was a placeholder through most of the first two periods of his Rangers debut, but that changed in the third.
The 23-year-old Danish winger, who was called up on Tuesday because of the plethora of injuries up front, got five shifts in the third period and showed some spunk in a 2-1 victory over the Jets on Thursday night at MTS Center.
His ice time included being in front of the net on the power play when Kevin Hayes scored the winning goal with 1:09 remaining in regulation.
