After two weeks and five preseason games the New York Rangers coaching staff has all of the information available about the candidates for the roster. The team tied a nice bow on the preseason with a split squad win in Philadelphia over the Flyers. Both teams put relatively limited lineups out for the contest, but there were still things to take away.
First, goaltender Alexandar Georgiev was the difference in the game. Although the team won the game 4-2, the Flyers dramatically outshot them in the third period. In addition to the play from Georgiev, the Rangers got goals from Vinni Lettieri, Brett Howden, Vladislav Namestnikov and Kevin Hayes.
