Connor Brickley was a midseason acquisition by the New York Rangers and is the only unrestricted free agent on the big league roster. In January, the Rangers got him from the Nashville Predators for minor league forward Cole Schneider. As an energetic fourth liner, he quickly became a favorite of coach David Quinn.
He split his time between New York and Hartford, playing 14 games with the Rangers with a goal and three assists and a plus three rating, not bad numbers for a player who averaged less than nine minutes of ice time a game.
